地元の人が買い物する場所市民マーケット

The market where the local people usually use.


女の人たちがおしゃべりしながら手作業！
雑に積み上げられたカラフルな布に囲まれて仕事してる女の子が素朴で可愛かった。

Ladies were having a chat while working by hand.
This girl was surrounded by colorful clothes piled up higgledy-piggledy looked cute.


これコスメショップなんだけど、おもちゃみたいなやつしか売ってない！
真ん中にくまの絵が書いてある小学校のときに使ってたデンプンのりみたいな容器分かる？マヨネーズに見えるけどあれ、美白クリームです。中に何入ってるのか知らないって店員さん言ってました。つけた瞬間ににきびできそうな色してました。

This place is the cosmetics shop.But all those looked like toys.
Can you see the bear package in the center?That one reminds me the paste I used to use when I was an elementary school student.That bear looks also mayonnaise,but it's not.That's a whitening cream.
The shop stuff told me she doesn't know what is in that.Scary to use:)

日用品が揃うってことはここは地元民にとってモールみたいな役割なのかな？
ここでは基本ローカルプライスだからディスカウントできないよ！してもいいけどあっちも生活かかってるので冷たい目で返されたりします！
We can get daily necessities in here.Is that mean this place is same roll with Target?
They sell them products in local price so we can't discount mostly.I mean we can do that,but that would be no fun for them.


おっおっおーーーこの光景は少し衝撃！
生皮剥がされてる豚さんたちがキラキラと日光を浴びて安らかな顔して量りと店頭に並んでる。
彼らの人生が人間のエゴに始まり終わった人生じゃなかったことを願います。
私もお肉を食べるから一概にあの光景にとやかく言える身分じゃないけど！何で豚さんたちがあんなに安らかな顔をしていたのか！

God..this scene got me a little shock for me.
These pigs were peeled away and lied down on the show window with calm face gotten a brilliantly shine.
I hope their life didn't start with human's ego and finish with that.
I eat meat so I can't blame that situation but I'm just wondering why them face looked so calm.

気になったけど自分のお腹を案じてやめときました！カンボジアでトイレに困ったりしたら大変だからね！大人のレディーとして！

The ice cream and French bread stall.
I wanted to try that but I didn't for my stomach.As a one of the lady,I should avoid the situation of finding the toilet as an emergency,right?



マーケットの外側！
屋台の屋根もカラフルだし並べてある食べ物もカラフルだし炎天下の下で物を売ってる人たちはのん気だけどどこかエネルギッシュ。

Outside of the market.The roof of stall are so colorful and the selling foods are also colorful.
The peoples who were selling at there looked taking it easy but also filled with energy.



こんな街中でむき出しの大量のバナナを見たのは初めてだね！一生分のバナナを見てしまったかもしれない！

I've never seen like this amount of Bananas in the central of the town.I might see all bananas that I can see in my life in this time.


カンボジアは昔フランス領だったから、ところどころでフランス文化が残ってる！だから美味しそうなフランスパンも路上で無造作に売られてる。

Cambodia was a colony of French before.So you can still see the culture of French in many place in Cambodia.
That's why you can find the good French bread on the road sold by roughly.


そのあとに移動したのはカンボジアに来た多くのバックパッカーが利用するゲストハウス。
Where we went to next was the guest house where is used by many back packers visiting to Cambodia.

安いし部屋も良いしホスピタリティーに溢れててかなり良いゲストハウスです！
友達とのシェアで来たらかなり良いっす！
The cost performance is nothing to say"I mean it's so good".The stuffs are so nice.I recommend here to stay when you visit to Cambodia.Also sharing wt your friend would be best way to use here.

The back side of that guest house,they have a small class opening under the sky.

そのあとに移動したのがお土産の買い物で有名らしいオールドマーケット。
そこでまーじーで自分的にツボだった像のカバンを購入！
最初に言われた価格の３分の１くらいまで値切って買ったよ！お姉さん最後のほう泣きそうだったけどそこはあたしも燃えてるから血も涙もありません！

The next we head to was called Old Market where is popular for buying the gifts.
I got the elephant bag which is appealed to my sense.I could discounted them to one third of the first price that she suggested.
She was gonna cry for that discount but I was serious for that discount game so I could let her go.



このカバンも何かの食品の袋のリサイクル。確か３００円とか４００円で買った気が..。
This elephant bag was also recycle of the segment. I think this was under $4.

何かね、カンボジアってリサイクル品がすごいセンス良いよ！
小粋なものが多くて買い物も楽しい。
Cambodia's recycle products are really awesome.It's so fun finding and buy them.


そのあとにオールドマーケットから少し横道に入ったところにある飲み屋街とゆーかご飯屋さん街。
After then we went to the street standing many bars and restaurants.

の、中にあるone hotel.
This hotel is "one hotel" in one of them.

ここ、１階がバーとアートショップになってて２階から上が民家みたいな部屋のホテル。
いつも満室ってのが売りらしいんだけどたまにtwitterで今空いてるよ！とかつぶやくらしい。
This hotel's first floor is the bar and art shop.second floor is a room.
The sales point of them is always"We have no vacancy."But sometime they announce on twitter when they have the room.

確かに今空いてんの！？とか言って人間心理的に気になっちゃうけど、そもそもそんなこまめにここのtwitterチェックしてまで泊まりたいファンがいるのがすごいよね！
If they are always busy and rarely they say "Now is vacancy",the person who watched that would be happy and make a reservation quickly.That method would take people's psychological attention!
The point I was suprised was they have customer's caution.

そのone hotelから更にぐんぐん進むと左側にあるSMATERIA
Go straight from one hotel,you'll see SMATERIA on left side.

こーんな素敵なカバンに変身してしまう。信じられる！？これ、元ゴミだからね！
and turn out to be beautiful bags.Can you believe those!?This was the trash before!
私たちが普段文字のごとくゴミのように扱ってる素材がこんなに美しく機能性を持って生まれ変わるなんて！！！
Real trash turn out to be a real good products.

あたしのこのカバン
This my bag

軽くて物いっぱい入って可愛いって言われて大好評です。
しかもこれで$30ちょい！コスパ最高でなお気持ち良い！仕事行くときとか毎日使ってます。
It's so light to carry,good to bring many stuffs and many my friends say it's cute.
This price is around $30.I always use this for work.
You get to buy real cute stuff at quite adorable price all for a good cause!


そのあと移動したのは昨日も寄ったIKTT。
We went to IKTT again.

今日は、お店の中で女の子が織物をしていた。
トントンと店内に鳴り響く音
A girl was working in the shop at this day.
The sounds of making a textile was so beautiful.

みんなに見られながらも静かに作業を続ける目線の先には
She was working in a customer's sights.She was looking at


無数のきらきら光る色が集まった繊細な糸
delicate yarns with innumerable colors.


最初に柄を決める人がいて、
一本の糸を棒に巻きつけて、その棒を順番通りにトントンと織って一枚の布にするみたい。
First,decide the patterns
Roll up the yarn to one stick
Weave yarn in pattern order into cloth.

全部の工程で１年くらいかかるってよ！
It takes one year to finish.

カンボジアの村で草木染めと養蚕の技術を知ったことから始まった森本さんの巨大ミッション。
戦争で埋もれていたオババたちの織物の知恵と経験を根絶やすまいと取り組み始め、
今や伝統の森と呼ばれる蚕の森には５００人のスタッフが働いていて
彼らの子供たちまで育って１つの村のようになっている。
His mission has started since he met to the traditional skill of textile and silkworm in Cambodia.
Their skill,wisdom,experience of textile might have disappeared under the war if there was no his project.
Now 500 workers is working at 'Wisdom of Forest'.
Their kids has grown in this forest,so now the forest is going to be like a small village.

森本さんいわく、伝統は守るものじゃなくて作るものだ。
Mr.Morimoto says Traditional shouldn't be protected.Traditional should be created by our selves to next generation.

ここの布の何がすごいって、肌触りが他にない肌触り。
生きたシルクを使ってるから、肩に巻いてみると生き物が吸い付くような布を感じられちゃう。
You'd be surprised when you touch them silk.
They use the raw silk.So you can feel that silk sticks to your shoulder when you wear that.



森本さんによって息を吹き返した！
Old traditional culture came to their new life by Morimoto!

こちらが噂の森本さん。
This guy is the Mr.Morimoto.



決して安いとは言えないIKTTの商品は、海外からのファンもいてスイスのロレックス賞まで受賞している世界に誇れる織物ブランド。
Actually this brand is not cheap.They got the rolex award from Switzerland.The price worth for them quality.

ここで働きたい女の人たちは順番待ちだそう。
So many women is waiting on the list to work at here.


このビジネスの理想とも言えるようなことを挑戦し続けている森本さんの目は
赤ちゃんみたいにキラキラしててどんぐりみたいだけど力強い
I can say this is the idealistic the type of business.Mr.Morimoto who is challenging this project has an eyes like a baby,brighten and strong.


犬も安心してキスしながら寝てしまうような自然体の人。
He is the natural person even dog sleeps by his leg toe kissing.


あまりにも素敵すぎる日本人に出会えたうれしさで、ついつい本を買ってサインしてもらった。
I was so impressed that I could meet such a cool Japanese.I bought his book and asked him to sign to my book.

働いてる女の人たちの笑顔を見ていれば一目瞭然です。
worker's smile would tell that.

森本さんいわく、
Mr.Morimoto says
人は頭で動くとてんでダメ。人は体で動くと１０倍のパワーを発揮するから。自分がやりたいことだけやるんだよ。
People won't work best when they are thinking.People would show them power tenfold when they move with them motivation.It's good way doing just what you want to.

考えて立ち止まってるのがバカらしくなってくるね！
I felt it's so ridiculous stopping at same place and thinking.

昨日は腰くらいまで溜まってた水も今日はこんなに干からびてた！
１日でこんなに水位下がるってことはうちらが来る前はどんだけの水位だったんだ！
Yesterday the water level was around my waist but today is low.
Even one day worked for dry the water.I can't imagine how high was water level before we come.

森本さんへの感動を胸にしまいこんだまま向かった先は、フランス人オーナーが経営するハーブ系化粧品屋さんSenteurs d'Angkor。
We moved to next destination Senteurs d'Angkorwhere is herb cosmetic shops launching by French owner.

小さい田んぼが前に２つ並んだ先にある小さな小屋のような店舗。
There is small 2 rice fields in front of them shop.



ここでも女の人たちが手作業している。カンボジアには今働き盛りの若者がたくさんいるみたい。
The girls are also working by hand.So many youth are in Cambodia but most of them have no place to work.

キレイすぎて魔法使いの庭みたいだった！魔法使いの庭どんなのか知らないけど！
Those were too beautiful and looked like the yard of the witch!I've never been to the yard of the witch though!


自分たちの素材で手作りの化粧品を売りにしているここ。
They sell the products that is made by themselves and them materials.

お店の裏道を通っていくと、ハーブが植えられてて商品ができるまでのストーリーを感じられる！
You can see the process of making the soap,candle,and oils at back side of the shop.

A workshop of making the candles by the stuff.

閉店間際だったけどお昼に来たら作業がもっと見れるみたい！
We visit here before they close,but in daytime we can see more workers and them method.

店内にはかなり可愛いパッケージの商品が並んでて
In shop,so cute packaged goods were displayed

外に出ると無料のコーヒーとかハーブティーがもらえる。
We can get a free coffee or tea in outside of the shop:)

蚊に刺される以外はかなりツボな店！
I really love this place beside I got a many mosquito bites.

シェムリアップのゲームセンター！
The game center in SiemRiep.

ここのゲームセンターで遊べる子供たちはかなりの富裕層みたいなんだけど
ゲームをしているその子たちの眼があまりにも欲におぼれた大人のギラギラした目に見えて
The kids who can play around in here are wealthy people
Them eyes reminded me the eyes of adult gambler.

少し将来が心配になっちゃったお母さん。
And I was a little concerned about them.

カラオケもあったよ！変なことできないように透明ガラスで中が見えるようになってたけど。
They also have a Karaoke!But we can see the inside of the room for security.
